Hey there, friend! Don't bother playing against the AI, it's barely competent enough to teach you the basics of the game. However, I really like the polish and visual upgrades of BB2 better.I don't have it prepared, but I really should do that :D If you have BB:CE, have people to play with, and enjoy playing it then go for it I'm sure this game will be on sale along with whatever teams they have launched as DLC in 6-8 months. Once Cyanide can fill out the rest of the roster I really don't see how the two could be compared anymore. I don't see how BB:CE is any better than BB2 besides the fact that it has more team variety. I personally enjoy BB2 a lot right now and having only played BB:CE a few weeks before the beta started I don't have a ton of fond memories with it. *Stadium creation, the player market, and other changes make team management more fun (and team management is easier to visualize in general) More players will be migrating to BB2, meaning BB:CE won't have a lot of population left. Vastly better UI which makes the game a lot easier to play. Personally I don't think the graphics hold up well at all, but in general:īetter graphics, including animations and the look of teams (I swear I couldn't tell some of them apart in BB:CE) It might work for games that are REALLY AMAZING to just do an HD remake, but Blood bowl is honestly not that amazing that I'mma put down $45 (and then another $10, and then another $10, and then another $10) for an HD remake. And honestly I'm just not interested in them rehashing the same game. I feel like as the Type A players dwindle out, Blood Bowl just won't be able to support itself for much longer. You make a new team, you level your dudes up to rank 3 or 4 before it ends, give them block, dodge, many some random skills if you can, and then you restart. They seem to have balanced the game a little bit more, but I'd REALLY like if they just redesigned the game so block/dodge weren't so goddamn mandatory.Įvery multiplayer season has a starting point where generally you have to make a new team as most people dislike the end game balance in Blood Bowl.
Many of the abilities are impossibly weak, many are so ridiculously weak that you ALWAYS get them. I believe Blood Bowl is archaic at this point.
Type C: I think this game is too random for me and I don't like it. Type B: I want Blood Bowl improved, balanced, better designed, etc. Type A: I just want Blood Bowl the board game on PC. There are three types of people when it comes to bloodbowl: There’s nothing quite like recognising that you’re not going to score in the last turn of a half and concentrating all of your efforts toward obliterating the opponent team instead. It’s not as clean and clever as fellow fictional ball-handler Frozen Cortex, but the messiness and violence really do add something. Rock, Paper, Shotgun: I wish there were more, particularly relating to team management and the persistency of the world, but this will do. The AI is as poor as ever but multiplayer is really where Blood Bowl 2 shines. Gamewatcher: 6.5 Blood Bowl 2 is a faithful recreation of the board game with improved visuals and a cleaner UI than previous installments.
